Considering an M.S. Degree in Nuclear Engineering?
The University of Tennessee Nuclear Engineering Dept. also offers an M.S. degree in nuclear engineering via distance education. The degree program offered via distance education is basically the same as the degree program that is offered locally on campus. The only difference is the number of courses offered, which is fewer in the distance program than in the local program on campus. All of the courses in the Nuclear Criticality Safety Certificate Program may be used to satisfy requirements for the M.S. degree. The M.S. degree requires 24-hours of graduate coursework plus a thesis or engineering practice projects, so the 12-hour certificate program constitutes half of the coursework requirement for the M.S. degree.
