Policies and Procedures

Refunds
If you cancel your enrollment, you will get a full refund, minus the $50 on-line resource fee, if we receive notice at least two working days prior to the start date of the program. For rolling enrollment courses the start date is one week after the date on your confirmation of enrollment letter or when you submit your first assignment to the instructor. No cancellations are taken the day before, the day of, or after a program begins. If your course fee includes a CBT CD-ROM charge you must return the CD-ROM in good condition prior to being refunded.
Cancellations
UT IEI cancels courses only when absolutely necessary, but we reserve the right to do so. Sometimes it is necessary to cancel a fixed-date course if a minimum enrollment is not reached. The decision to cancel will be made by the course start date. If your course is canceled, you may transfer to another course or request a total refund of your course fee.
Grades
UT IEI offers non-credit professional level courses in several IT focused certificate tracks. Courses are graded on a pass or fail basis. A passing grade is 70% or better. To successfully pass the course a score of 70% or better must be achieved on the final exam.
Program Changes
UT IEI reserves the right to change instructors, discontinue courses, refuse enrollments or extensions, or adjust service fees and CBT prices listed in the catalog as circumstances warrant.
Returned Check Policy
There is a $30 service charge for any returned check no matter the reason. The administrative fee increases to $40 if the check is not redeemed within two weeks of notification. A returned check will automatically place a hold on any course(s) in which you are registered as well as your official student record. The hold will remain in effect until the original balance and the service charge fees are paid in full.
Miscellaneous
UT IEI does not receive state tax funds; its programs are supported entirely by fees and grants.
