Investigative Research for Professionals
Our new online Investigative Research for Professionals course serves as an introduction to investigative research and presents techniques for conducting successful research.
The comprehensive course is designed to help professionals in careers including private investigators, paralegal, law enforcement, human resources and legal secretaries but would be useful for any other career where information gathering is essential. Students will learn how to research and organize a background check, locate assets of an individual and corporations, acquire the knowledge of the techniques of locating a missing person, navigate the complexities of public records, and explore the "deep, invisible" Web.
The National Association of Legal Assistants (http://www.nala.org) has approved Investigative Research for Professionals for 12 CLE units for paralegal certification. Students must score of 70 percent or better on the final exam to earn the CLE units.
